  5. Welcome to Delrina WinComm LITE!
  6.  
  7. Delrina WinComm LITE(tm) is a basic communications software package for 
  8. Windows offering the ideal balance of simplicity and power. 
  9.  
  10. Delrina grants to you an ongoing license to use WinComm LITE in accordance 
  11. with the terms of the License Agreement contained in the file LICENSE.TXT.
  12. These terms include your mandatory registration of WinComm LITE with Delrina. 
  13.  
  14. Delrina WinComm LITE may be freely distributed in its complete and original 
  15. form only.
  16.  
  17. Redistribution of this program in any modified form is in violation of the 
  18. software license agreement provided in the file LICENSE.TXT.
  19.  
  20. Please read the file LICENSE.TXT prior to installing WinComm LITE.

  23. (1) YOU MAY:
  24.    1. Make as many copies of the original version of the Program as you wish.
  25.    2. Distribute the Program by any means possible, including through a 
  26.       bulletin board, provided that you distribute exact and complete copies 
  27.       of the ORIGINAL version of the Program and NOT copies of the Program 
  28.       which contains your registration particulars.

  41. Installation
  42. ------------------

  44. If you are reading this readme, you have probably already downloaded 
  45. Delrina WinComm LITE 1.1 from the Delrina BBS, and unzipped the 
  46. WCL.ZIP file into a temporary directory, such as C:\TEMP. To install 
  47. WinComm LITE, do the following:
  48.  
  49. 1. Start Windows and from the Program Manager menu bar, select Run
  50. in the File menu.
  51.  
  52. 2. In the Run dialog that appears, type the following for the command
  53. line...
  54.  
  55. C:\TEMP\INSTALL.EXE
  56.  
  57. ...and click OK. The Delrina WinComm LITE Installation dialog appears.
  58. Click OK to continue the installation.
  59.  
  60. 3. Type the path for the WinComm directory or accept the default path
  61. (C:\WINCOMM). Click OK to continue. If the directory does not 
  62. already exist, you are prompted to create it. Click Yes to continue.
  63.  
  64. 4. The Connection dialog appears listing the available Port types, Port
  65. names, and Modem models. Click OK to accept the selected settings or
  66. select different settings and click OK to continue. The Baud Rate
  67. dialog appears.
  68.  
  69. 5. Select the appropriate baud rate, and click OK to continue. The Dialing
  70. Method dialog appears.
  71.  
  72. 6. Select whether your phone line is Touch Tone or Pulse, and click OK 
  73. to continue. The Dial Prefix dialog appears.
  74.  
  75. 7. Provide a dial prefix, such as 9, if it is required to use an external
  76. phone line. Provide your area code, and click OK to continue. The
  77. Transfer Directories dialog appears.
  78.  
  79. 8. Type the paths for the WinComm transfer directories, or accept the default
  80. paths (C:\WINCOMM\DOWNLOAD and C:\WINCOMM\UPLOAD). Click OK to continue.

  82. 9. A dialog appears announcing the WinComm LITE installation is now complete.
  83. Click OK to close the dialog. WinComm LITE is now ready to use.

  85. Upgrades
  86. ---------------

  88. There will be no enhanced versions of Delrina WinComm LITE made available for 
  89. future release. We may at our option, issue updates from time to time via
  90. the Delrina BBS.
  91.  
  92. You are encouraged to upgrade from Delrina WinComm LITE to Delrina WinComm PRO 
  93. or Delrina Communications Suite for Windows.  WinComm PRO is the easiest way to 
  94. go On-line.  WinComm PRO provides many useful features such as a friendly 
  95. graphical Windows interface, intuitive icons, fully customizable button bar 
  96. and phonebook as well as the Delrina Internet Messenger -- the easiest way 
  97. to send, receive and manage Internet e-mail messages.

  99. In addition to WinComm PRO, Delrina Communications Suite adds the award-winning 
  100. WinFax PRO to provide a complete communications solution.

  102. See the enclosed ORDER.TXT file to find out how to upgrade to Delrina 
  103. WinComm PRO for only $49.95 US or to Delrina Communications Suite 
  104. for only $89.95 US.  (Prices subject to Change without notice)

  109. Documentation for WinComm LITE is supplied only in electronic form. No printed
  110. manuals are available.  You may download these files from Delrina's BBS.

  116. As a free product, Delrina WinComm LITE is not eligible for free technical 
  117. support from Delrina. Should you require technical support, you can call 
  118. 1-800-613-2306 to obtain flat fee technical support at $25 US ($30 Cdn). 
  119. When you call, you will required to provide your credit card number. 
  120. As Delrina WinComm PRO comes with unlimited technical support, 
  121. we highly recommend upgrading to WinComm PRO (for only $49.95 US) as a means 
  122. to obtain product support and additional functionality.

  124. In addition to telephone support, to facilitate user to user support on this 
  125. product, Delrina will maintain a forum on both our North American and United 
  126. Kingdom BBSes.
